CRAU Contract Renewal and Tour

The PWRE UCRAF Team recently traveled to Vernal, Utah to kick off the renewal of the UCRAF-DST contract with the Colorado River Authority of Utah (CRAU). The renewal expands the UCRAF-DST into the Brush Creek and Ashley Creek (BCAC) basins and extends coverage to the remainder of the Colorado River Basin in Utah. As part of the kickoff, the team joined CRAU, Division of Water Rights (DWRi), Uintah Water Conservancy District (UWCD) personnel, and River Commissioners on a basin tour of key water conveyance and storage infrastructure in the BCAC basins.

Tour highlights included a visit to Red Fleet Reservoir — a critical water storage facility flanked by impressive geologic formations (pictured) and fossils. The PWRE team is excited to be back at work on this important project and looks forward to what's ahead!
