Truckee Meadows Water Authority Paleo (2025)

PWRE collaborated with the Truckee Meadows Water Authority (TMWA) to enhance their 2025 Water Resource Plan through a study leveraging Paleo Hydrology. By comparing historical Truckee Basin hydrology with reconstructed Paleo data from 1500 onward using simulations in the TROA Planning Model, PWRE provided critical insights into the resilience and reliability of TMWA’s water supply across diverse hydrologic conditions. Our expertise in hydrologic modeling and data-driven analysis empowered TMWA to strengthen their water security, promoting sustainable resource management for the region’s future.
