Truckee Meadows Water Authority ASR (2025)

PWRE partnered with the Truckee Meadows Water Authority (TMWA) to advance their 2025 Water Resource Plan by developing technology within RiverWare to model the operations and accounting of Aquifer Storage Recovery (ASR). Our innovative approach integrated ASR sources with TMWA's existing water supply sources in the TROA Planning Model, enabling sophisticated planning simulations to assess yield, reliability, and operational strategies. This tool allows TMWA to explore and optimize their water management, ensuring sustainable and resilient water supply solutions for the region. By leveraging our expertise in hydrologic modeling, PWRE delivered a tool that provided TMWA with actionable insights, empowering their organization to make informed decisions for long-term water security.
